Self Defense Lessons From Krav Maga

What is Krav Maga?

Self defense is the ability to foresee situations that might develop into danger and to avoid/escape them. This is what Krav Maga Self Defense is all about. It begins with the altering of behavioral patterns evolving them into a constant state of awareness of different scenarios.

Krav Maga is a self-defense system and combat tactics developed by the Israeli military (IDF) to accommodate its need of the training to be learned anyone and in a short period of time, as the forces cannot spare too much time for one such training. The Krav Maga philosophy is to prepare the participants for controlled aggressiveness, determination, alertness, awareness and reflex CQB (Close Quarter Battle) training. It is a horizontal system with a unique and logical approach. It is easy to learn and retain, performed naturally and intuitively, and practically be used under stressful conditions. An essential part of Krav Maga is its teaching process, methodology and ways of training.

Krav Maga is ideal for Men, Women & Children. Since with Krav Maga you can defend against  very powerful opponents, it is very goo for Women in particular.

Krav Maga for Women – Why it is Important and a Necessity

Women, compared to men, have different reasons to learn self defense for instance:
(1) Techniques to protect against sexual assault,
(2) Confronting or battling threats unique in characteristics and
(3) Difference in physique and strength.

The two main threats that every woman is a potential victim of are Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment. This is where Krav Maga steps in to teach them how to confront these problems by using the highly efficient “Correct Behaviour Under Risk” method under which they learn:

              (1) Identifying and avoiding a risk situation,
              (2) Fast retreat,
              (3) Equipping themselves with objects in the surroundings,
              (4) Fight – Using Krav Maga self defense techniques and
              (5) Flight - After fight retreat and protect themselves.

Krav Maga conditions You both
mentally and physically.

We have a job-oriented training system for our students as well, where in addition to training for self-defense they also have the opportunity of making it into a successful career for themselves.

We look forward to being able to help you all in training in Krav Maga and institutionalizing Krav Maga as a system of combat tactics and by sharing the knowledge and expertise we have gained over the years.
